Went to Heroes Con this Saturday. What fun I was a kid in a candy store. I walked away from the con spending less than expected. I got a Major Kusanagi figurine, an Armitage III figurine, Spooky figurine (a character by Jhonen Vasquez), an Umbrella Corp. shirt, a Decepticon shirt, all of FLCL (an anime), Full Metal Panic-The Second Raid (start of new series), and all of Hellsing anime (not Van Hellsing). The tip of the iceberg is that I'm at a Hilton hotel that is awesome, with all amenities. King size bed, internet, TV, too bad I'm doing this alone but nobody was interested in coming with me. Dragon Con seems to take precedence for others, not sure if I'm going to that one or not. I have fully enjoyed traveling around for the entire weekend and am not ready to return to work on Monday. Weekends end however and there is always much to do in end user support. I'll be going to work on Monday but will be off for the 4th of July. Looking forward to that too. |
